Obituary

Zachary James Chantrenne, born on October 26, 1995, in Austin, Texas, passed away on July 17, 2026, in Sherwood, Michigan. His loss is deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.

Zachary was the beloved son of Paul and April Chantrenne, the cherished brother of Geni Chantrenne, and the adored grandson of Ruth Chantrenne. He is also mourned by the memory of those who preceded him in death: his grandfathers, David A. Bishop Sr. and James Fay Chantrenne, and his grandmother, Barbara A. Bishop.

He was a proud graduate of Battle Creek Central High School, class of 2014 where he participated in marching band, pep band, and played soccer. Zachary embarked upon his professional journey at Sturgis Molded Products in Sturgis, Michigan, where he was known for his unwavering dedication and tireless work ethic. Those who worked alongside him often admired his meticulous attention to detail—he took pride in elevating the standards and striving for excellence in all his endeavors. While also working at Sturgis Molded Products Zachary was also attending KCC and studying computer coding.

Zachary’s qualities extended well beyond the workplace. He was celebrated for his sense of humor, always quick with a dad joke, and he brought laughter and levity wherever he went. His approach to life was one of making even the simplest moments fun and interesting. Friends and family remember him as a caring confidant—a good friend who was always willing to listen and provide support when needed.

An avid gamer, Zachary spent countless hours immersed in worlds of imagination, sharing that passion with friends and fellow enthusiasts. Most importantly, the times he cherished most were those spent with his daughter. His devotion and love were evident in every moment they shared, forming memories that will forever be held close. Zachary had a love of getting together and hanging out with his family. Particularly at big gatherings such as birthday dinners, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The last few holidays Zach baked pies and cookies for all to enjoy.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Zachary will remember his integrity, kindness, and enthusiasm for life. Though he has left us too soon, his legacy lives on in the hearts he touched—with laughter, compassion, and a steadfast example of the difference one life can make. Zachs presence will be sorely missed by his entire family as well as his coworkers all whose lives were touched by Zach.

His memory will remain a blessing to all whom he loved and who loved him in return.
