Memorial Service: Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 12 PM also at the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date in Leonidas Cemtery.



Timothy Eugene Truckey age 62 of Leonidas passed away May 2, 2023, after a yearlong battle with cancer. Surrounded by his team of many family members and friends he peacefully transitioned to his final homecoming. Tim was born on September 2, 1960, to Ronald and Nina Truckey, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Colon High School with the Class of 1978.Tim lived in the Leonidas area his entire life. He worked for Grumman/Morgan Olson for 44 years where many of his co-workers became lifelong friends and his second family. He was an avid Harley-Davidson rider and introduced many of his friends and family to his love of riding motorcycles.Tim is survived by his sister and brother in-law, Terri and Earl Bernheisel of Leonidas, brother Ted (Heidi) Truckey of Sherwood, nieces and nephews; Tangi (Matt) Hedrington, Lacy (Jamie) Thaxton, Chad (Amber) Bernheisel, Tiera (Adam Baker) Bernheisel, Trista Bernheisel, Kody (Olivia) Spidle, Taylor Truckey, Justin (Sam) Truckey and many very special cousins.According to Tim's wishes cremation is taking place. Services will be held at Schipper Funeral Home in Colon, MI with visitation Friday May 5, 2023, from 4-8pm and Saturday May 6, 2023, from 11am-12pm prior to the service beginning at 12:00 PM.
