Thomas J. Hansman Jr. age 63 of Colon passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Thomas was born on September 14, 1961, in Coldwater, Michigan, a son to Thomas J. and Linda (Letts) Hansman Sr. Thomas lived a lot of his life in Texas working construction, eventually moving back to Michigan. Thomas was once married to Kathleen K. Thomas, but their marriage would end in divorce.

Thomas enjoyed cooking and cooking for lots of people. Most of all he enjoyed his time spent with his grandchildren. Thomas was also a very religious man and was proud to be a man of God.

Surviving Thomas are his daughters: Hope (J.T.) Cartier of Mendon, and Jessica (Mike) Ramey of White Pigeon, 6 grandchildren: Carter, Braylen, Emma, Elayna, Maverick, Harper, Mother Linda Brauer, five sisters: Jodie (Jeff) Johnson of Coldwater, Coni (Jason Decker) Nickles of Colon, Billi (Frank) Farrand of Colon, Josie Swift of Colon, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Thomas in death was his father Thomas J. Hansman Sr., son TJ Hansman, sister Deb Hansman, stepfather Jud Brauer, stepmother Deborah Hansman, and special friend Jeanie Jones.

The Hansman family will receive friends and relatives from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM on Monday, February 17, 2025, at the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. in Colon. A funeral service celebrating Thomas will begin at 2:00 PM following the visitation. Following in his wish's cremation will take place following the funeral service.
