Memorial Service: Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11:00 at the Colon Church of Christ. Interment will follow lunch and take place at 1:00 PM at Lakeside Cemetery.


Sharon Kay Jeffries age 74 of Battle Creek passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Glen Arbor Hospice Residence in Battle Creek.
Sharon was born on May 26, 1946 in Battle Creek, a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Guthrie) Hoard.
Sharon graduated from Colon High School with the class of 1965. Sharon worked as a Nurses Aid at the State Home in Battle Creek for years. She then worked and retired from Maxitrol in Colon. Sharon was also a member of the Colon Church of Christ.
On June 22, 1966 Sharon married Guindell Jeffries in Colon. He would precede her in death.
Sharon is survived today by her son Guindell Jeffries Jr. of Leonidas, daughter Kathy Kent of Bronson, 4 grandchildren: Travis Jeffries, Ashley Stanton, Tyler Kent, and Devin Kent, 9 great grandchildren: Lilly, Isabel, Brayson, and Maddox Stanton, Seth and Carter Jeffries, Abby, Dawson, and Owen Kent, 4 step children: Barbara Ann Melton, Danny Jeffries, Patricia Trumbo, Sheila McGee and two special friends: Bob Haidl and Gloria Combs.
Besides her parents Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Guindell Jeffries, 2 siblings Dave Hoard, and Nancy Hoard, great grandson Trevor Kent, and step children: Lois Jean Helm, Ernie and Dennis Jeffries.
