Rosemary H. (Miller) Hochstetler, age 77 years, 2 months, and 7 days, passed away on February 12, 2024, at her residence, after being bedfast for 2 months.
She was born December 5, 1946, in Sturgis, Michigan, a daughter to the late Henry J. and Susie (Bontrager) Miller.
On March 9, 1967, she married Raymond D. Hochstetler. They lived in matrimony for 56 years, 11 months, and 3 days.
Rosemary is survived by her husband: Raymond D. Hochstetler of Centreville, 9 children: Daniel (Marilyn) Hochstetler of Centreville, Henry (Martha) Hochstetler of Colon, Irene (Mark) Esh of Belt, MT, Velma (Melvin) Bontrager of Sturgis, Lydia Ann (Jonas) Bontrager of Sturgis, Kermit (Rebecca) Hochstetler of Bonduel, WI, Ruben (Lila Fern) Hochstetler of Sturgis, Amanda Sue (David) Borntrager of Worthington, IN, Ruth (Marion) Miller of Burr Oak, 49 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, siblings: Harvey L. (Amanda) Miller of Centerville, Inez (Menno) Petersheim of Topeka, IN, Ura J. Miller of Florida, sister in law Mattie Miller of LaGrange, IN, Elsie Miller of Burr Oak, and Willard (Viola) Miller of Goshen, IN.
Besides her parents Henry J. and Susie Bontrager, Rosemary was preceded in death by her daughter Rachel, son Raymond Jr., and son in law Raymond A. Eicher.
The Hochstetler family would like to give thanks to each and every one for all of their help throughout Rosemary's sickness and funeral preparations and an extra special thanks to her caregivers: Esther H. Hochstetler, Delilah Ruth Bontrager, Sarah Borkholder, and Leona W. Miller. The Hochstetler family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 1 PM – 8PM and Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 10 AM – 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 9:30 AM with Marvin Bontrager and Home Ministers officiating. Interment will follow in Old Order Amish Cemetery in Centreville, Michigan. All events and services will be held at the CYC building: 59321 Nottawa Road Centreville, Michigan, 49032.
