Robert J. Orchel age 82 of Fulton passed away at his home on the morning of Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

Robert was born on April 2, 1942, in Three Rivers, Michigan, a son to the late Julius and Neva (Bowers) Orchel.

On August 4, 1962, Robert married his wife of 62 years, Madge Arlene Miller, in Leonidas, Michigan, at the Leonidas Bible Church. They resided at their current residence for the last 47 years.

Robert worked 28 years at the Vicksburg paper mill. In his free time Robert enjoyed his family time, traveling, camping, hunting, and participating in 4-H with his family.

Surviving Robert is his wife Madge Arlene Orchel of Fulton, children: Stacey (Andy) Bradford of Cleveland, TN, Kelly (Doug) Case of Colon, Corey (Zoe) Orchel of Fulton, grandchildren: Amanda, Morgan (Ronnie), Drew (Olivia), Sarah, Alison (Chase), Ryan, William, Emma, great grandchildren: Ava, Jaden, Jake, Trenton, Everly, Ainsley, Christopher, and a nephew Steve.

Besides his parents Julius and Neva Orchel, Robert was preceded in death by his sister Carol Scritchfield.

Following in his wish's cremation has taken place. A graveside service at Beard Cemetery in Mendon, Michigan will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
