Jr.
February 4, 1948 – April 25, 2024
Robert (Bob) Harrier Jr. age 76 of Union City passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, April 25, 2024, surrounded by his family and friends.
Bob was born on February 4, 1948, in Hillsdale, Michigan, a son to the late Robert G. and Lillian (Cuyler) Harrier.
On March 2, 1985, Bob married his wife of 39 years, Sherry L. (Walter) Watson in Marshall, Michigan.
Bob graduated from Tekonsha High School with the class of 1967. He had many jobs over the years including building bridges early on in his life on I-69, working at Eatons in Marshall Michigan and then devoting his life to what he loved most for over the last 50+ years, a self-employed mechanical contractor. He also owned and operated Harrier's Archery and was also a dealer for a wood burning stove company which took him on a trip to Romania to install a unit at a lodge.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and took many hunting trips to Colorado, Utah and a trip to Africa.
Surviving Bob is his wife Sherry L. Harrier of Union City, son: Kirk (Sarah) Harrier of Gaylord, Michigan, stepson: Richard (Amy) Watson III of Burlington, sister: Patricia Walkington, grandchildren: Devon Watson, Jacob Watson, and Mitchell Watson. Special nieces and nephews: Aaron Yesh, Dara Weed, Ryan Yesh, Tara Burgett (Sissy), Derek Dykens, Danielle Dykens, Darren Dykens. Great nieces and nephews: Dessa Weed (Zach), Dailey Weed, Morgan Burgett, Murray Burgett and Marlee Burgett. Brother-in-law: Bryan Yesh, Sister/Brother-in-law: Debra and Mark Dykens, Brother-in-law: Lewis (Gloria Wood) Walter, Jr., and numerous other nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. His fuzzy kids: Martha, Miles, Millie and Molly who gave him much comfort, love and joy. Bob loved his cats.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Sharon Yesh.
Following in his wish's cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes will take place in Abscota Cemetery in Burlington at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be directed to one of the following causes:
