Melissa G. Jenkins, 48, Passed away on October 20, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 21, 1978, in Sturgis, Michigan.

Melissa graduated from Colon High School in 1997 and went on to build a career as a Service Warranty Manager for Lakota in Bristol, Indiana. On October 29, 2004, she married Douglas P. Jenkins, beginning a marriage that remained central to her life.

She was deeply loving and loyal, and she loved her family most. Welcoming and witty, Melissa brought life to whatever room she was in. She also had a special love for animals especially her dogs: Pippen, Pipper, Echo, Patches, Sadie, and Annie. Among the things that brought her happiness were camping, kayaking, and riding horses.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Douglas Jenkins; step daughter Mckenzie; her sister, Morgan Dalrymple, and Morgan’s husband, Ian Dalrymple; her brothers, Jesse Leeth and Ben Leeth, and Ben’s wife, Angie Leeth; her nieces, Ryleigh and Aviana; her parents, Paul Leeth and Connie Leeth; and her grandmother, Kay Akins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pamela Leeth.

Those who knew Melissa will remember her for her warmth, her humor, her devotion to the people she loved, and the energy she brought into the lives of others. Her memory will be cherished by her family and friends.

Private interment of ashes will take place at Matteson Cemetery in Bronson, Michigan.
