Leonard R. Burnham age 90 of Mendon, passed away on the morning of Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Edgewood Health and Rehabilitation in Three Rivers, Michigan.

Leonard was born on November 6, 1933, in Vicksburg, Michigan, a son to the late Rex and Bertha (Bower) Burnham.

On April 4, 1954, Leonard married his wife of 70 years, Marlene J. Wood at the Colon United Methodist Church.

Leonard was a graduate of Colon High School and a member of the class of 1952. After high school Leonard served his country faithfully as a member of the United States Army. After the service Leonard worked as a heavy equipment operator.

Surviving Leonard today is his wife Marlene J. Wood of Mendon, son Nick Burnham of Mendon, daughter Nicole Burnham of South Carolina, grandson Hunter Burnham of Mendon, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents Rex and Bertha Burnham, Leonard was preceded in death by his brothers: Edward and Jack Burnham.

Following in his wish's cremation has taken place. A graveside service celebrating Leonard's life will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Lakeside Cemetery in Colon with Pastor Kurt Kuhlman officiating.
