Kathie A. Schrader age 82 of Colon, passed away at her home in Colon on Friday, Apil 5, 2024.

Kathie was born in Coldwater, Michigan on February 11, 1942, a daughter to the late Leland A. and Grace M. (Roberts) Shears.

On September 4, 1959, Kathie married Leslie C. Schrader Sr. in Colon, Michigan. Leslie would precede Kathie in death on May 12, 2013.

Kathie was previously employed at Paramount Furniture in Sturgis. After her tenure there she worked at Post Foods in Battle Creek until her retirement in 1994.

Kathie is survived by her children: Vicky (Mike) Ross of Bronson, Amy Hoffer of Ohio, Vayette (Mitch) Becker of Constantine, Randy Schrader of Sturgis, Tammy Whiting of Colon, grandchildren: Tori (Ryan) Smith of Washington DC, Zachary Tepfer of Fort Carson, Colorado, Benjamin Tepfer of Portage, Joshua Ross, Jeremy Ross, Sheena Ross, Matthew Hoffer, Danielle Hoffer, Axel Schrader, Kisty Schrader, and several great grandchildren.

Besides her parents Leland and Grace Shears, Kathie was preceded in death by her son: Leslie C. Schrader Jr.

Following in her wish's cremation has taken place. At this time there are no services planned.
