Funeral Service: Friday, January 19, 2024, at 2:00 PM also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery.
Jane Marie Trine age 85 of Burr Oak passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Thurston Woods Village.
Jane was born on July 6, 1938, in Matteson Township, a daughter to the late Andy and Mona (Dingman) Westendorf. Jane was a graduate of Colon High School with the class of 1957.
On July 13, 1958, Jane married her husband of 65 years, Orville "Gene" Trine in Colon, Michigan at the Colon Church of Christ.
Jane Loved to bake goodies for anyone who would take them. She was known to bake all morning and load the kids up to make deliveries the rest of the day. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, writing letters and keeping in touch with folks near and far. Jane was a very social person. She enjoyed good conversation and always looked forward to the neighborhood coffee club get togethers once a month. She also had a good sense of humor and was known to occasionally dress up for Halloween and razz the neighbors. Above all though Jane loved spending quality time with her granddaughters the most.
Surviving Jane today is her husband Orville "Gene" Trine of Burr Oak, sons: Wallace (Debi Brusatori) Trine of East China, Michigan, and Rodney (Brenda) Trine of Luther, Michigan, grandchildren: Jessica (Billy) Bohm, Emily Wolf, Christina Trine, and Larissa Long, and great grandson Archer Bohm.
Besides her parents Andy and Mona Westendorf, Jane was preceded in death by her siblings: Edward, Lewi and Connie.
The Trine family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, January 19, 2024, from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. in Colon. A funeral service celebrating Jane's life will be held at 2:00 PM also at the Schipper Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Lakeside Cemetery following. In lieu of flowers the family asks memorial donations be made to Thurston Woods Village as a thank you for their exceptional care. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
