James Robert Findlay was born on February 26, 1929 in Grosse Point, Michigan. He graduated from Grosse Point High School and Wayne State University. Jim also received an MBA from Western Michigan University.
James was a Korean War veteran. He served honorably with the Military Intelligence branch of the United States Army. Jim was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska.
James worked for the Cadillac Motor Car Division in Detroit, Michigan. He was also employed with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Jim finished his business career at Paine Webber in Des Moines, Iowa and retired to Hendersonville, North Carolina.
James was preceded in death by his wives, Delores Findlay, 1968 and Rosemary Findlay, 2020. He is survived by his daughters and sons Kris Carr, Steve Findlay, Mike Kane, Sue Findlay and Dan Findlay.
