James E. Capman age 86 of the Colon area passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Fairview Nursing Home in Centreville.
James was born in East Leroy on December 1, 1934, a son of the late Archie Sr. and Dorothy (Snook) Capman.
On November 2, 1953 James married Donna Buys. Their marriage would end in divorce.
James worked at Abbott Magic Co. for 46 years until retiring in 2011. James loved working with wood, gardening, making candles, tinkering on cars, and mowing grass. When he was able, he also enjoyed fishing.
James is survived his children: Rick (Diana) Capman of Sturgis, Kimberly Capman of Hillsdale, and Jeff (Dawn) Capman of Sturgis, two grandchildren: Garrett Capman and Alexis Byers, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents James was preceded in death by his four siblings: Dorothy "Dolly", Archie Jr., and Laura "Jean", and an infant brother Richard, and daughter in law Diana Capman.
