Eva Lorraine Augerbright, née Dillon, passed away on June 24, 2026, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, at the age of 80. Born on March 20, 1946, in Ironton, Ohio, Eva was the cherished daughter of Raymond Dillon and Grace Riggle.

Eva was a proud graduate of Symmes Valley High School, class of 1964. On July 21, 1965, she married Earl L. Augerbright in Lawrence County, Ohio, beginning a devoted partnership that lasted until Earl's passing. Their marriage was a testament to mutual respect, love, and shared values.

Eva built a distinguished career as an accountant, dedicating many years to her profession with diligence and integrity. Her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence earned her the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

Most of her adult life was spent in Colon, where Eva became a valued and vibrant member of the community. Her engagement in civic organizations was complemented by her membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution, reflecting both her deep-rooted appreciation for history and her commitment to community service.

Eva’s family was the center of her world. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Melissa Tefft; her grandson, Spencer Tefft; and great-grandchildren, Blakely, Mateo, and Macklynne, all of whom were constant sources of pride and joy in her life. She is also fondly remembered by many friends and extended family members whose lives she touched with her warmth and generosity.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Augerbright; her grandson, Dillon Tefft; her father, Raymond Dillon; and her mother, Grace (Riggle) Dillon.

Eva Lorraine Augerbright’s legacy is defined by her unfailing dedication to her family, her professional accomplishments, and her steadfast community involvement. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
