Private interment will take place in Mendon Township Cemetery.


Ernest L. Shepherd age 82 of Mendon, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Optalis Health and Rehab of Three Rivers.
Ernest was born on August 17, 1940, in Trumann, Arkansas, a son to the late Ernest and Christine (Carr) Shepherd.
Ernest is survived today by his children: Sheila Shepherd of Mendon, Donna (Joseph) Stevens of Mendon, Ernest "Dink" Smith of Missouri, John Smith of Missouri, Allen Burr of Three Rivers, Cindy Armour of Nottawa, Ernest Carl Shepherd of Missouri, Christine Shepherd of Sturgis, Siblings: Katherine Snyder, Perry Shepherd, LaWayne Shepherd, Earily Shepherd, Flint Shepherd, Linda Shepherd, Brenda Bradley, Annette Shepherd, Many Grand and Great Grand Children, Many Nieces and Nephews.
Besides his parents Ernest and Christine, Ernest was preceded in death by his brothers: Larry Shepherd, Verily Shepherd, Vernon Shepherd, Gene Shepherd, and son Ricky Lee Shepherd.
A private visitation will be held at the Schipper Funeral Home Ltd. in Colon. Interment will take place in Mendon Township Cemetery in Mendon, Michigan.
