Elaine Grace Helmuth age 6 of Sturgis, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Bronson Children's Hospital in Kalamazoo.

Elaine was born on July 21, 2017, in Topeka, Indiana, a daughter to Christy H. and Heather Sue (Borkholder) Helmuth.

Elaine is survived by her parents: Christy H. and Heather Sue Helmuth of Sturgis, six siblings: Melissa Kay, Elizabeth Carol, Karl Dean, Andrew Wayne, Delilah Jo, and Ruby Fern, all at home, maternal grandfather Kenneth (Mary) Borkholder, and paternal grandparents Harvey and Betty Helmuth.

Elaine was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Carol Ann (Yoder) Borkholder, uncle Mark Andrew Borkholder, an infant uncle, and cousins: Emily Miller, and Gabriel Jon Helmuth.

The Helmuth family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 2-8 PM and Friday, May 3, 2024, from 10 AM – 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 9:30 AM with home ministers officiating. Interment will take place in Old Order Amish Cemetery. All events associated with the arrangements will be held at the CYC Building: 59321 Nottawa Road, Centreville, Michigan, 49032.
