David Edward Vogel, 75, of Colon Michigan passed away on the early morning of February 4th, 2024,04/14 from End Stage Renal Disease. He was born on 4/14/1948 in Beloit Wisconsin. Dave is survived by his daughter Heidi Kern (Andrew Kern) of Lansing Michigan and son Christoper Vogel (Amanda Cummings) of Grand Rapids Michigan. In addition, his grandchildren Nicholas Kern, Gwendolyn Cummings, and Blackeley Vogel. David is also survived by his sister Penelope Meschewski of Florida and Elizabeth Leib of Ohio. Proceeding David in death are his wife Betty (Blackeley) Vogel, his parents Ann Marie and Gene Vogel, as well as his brother Lawrence Vogel. David moved to Colon permanently in 1988 with his wife Betty and his son Chris into the house that his father-in-law had built when his wife was a child. His father-in-law was not a carpenter! There were not any stairs to the second floor and no heat for living in the state of Michigan. David and his wife made this house into a home. After the passing of his wife, he still enjoyed the fact that he lived on Palmer Lake and could sit out on the patio and enjoy the wonderful scenery it had to offer. There will not be a funeral at this time.
