David J. Placatka age 80 of Sherwood, Michigan, passed away early Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall.
David was born on May 1, 1943, in Davenport, Iowa, a son to the late James F. and Naomi P. (Spitznogle) Placatka. David graduated from Bronson High School with the class of 1961. After graduating David proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
Surviving David today is his sister: Debra R. (Robert H.) Cline of Sherwood, nephews: Christoher R. Cline of Sherwood, and Ryan J. (Mindy) Cline of Sherwood, great nieces and nephews: Mali Cline, Braxton Cline, Tatum Cline, Dalton Cline, and Vincent Cline.
Besides his parents James and Naomi Placatka, David was preceded in death by a nephew David James Cline.
Following in his wish's cremation has taken place. There are no services planned at this time.
