Alice Louise Loudenslager, born Alice Louise Clark on October 21, 1941, in Centreville, Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026, in Burr Oak, Michigan. She lived a life full of simple pleasures and warm connections, leaving behind cherished memories for all who knew her.
Alice spent much of her career working at Denton Mills in Centreville. Later, she worked in several bars around Centreville and was also a familiar presence at the Sturgis Moose Lodge. Throughout her life, she followed the harness horse racing circuit with great enthusiasm and spent many joyful hours playing bingo and visiting the casino. Alice was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers, a passion that brought her much happiness over the years.
She is survived by her loving children: Gary Clark and his wife Colleen of Centreville, and Lori Sheteron with her husband Larry of Burr Oak. Alice also leaves behind her stepchildren: Pam Thaxton and her husband Jeff of Colon, and Mike Loudenslager with his wife Carole of Colon. Additionally, she is survived by stepson-in-law Stan Yoder of Sturgis, along with 15 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marie (Phillips) Clark; her husband, Lloyd Loudenslager; sons Larry and Jerry Weinberg; stepdaughter Vicki Yoder; her ten brothers and sisters; her first husband Louis Weinberg; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones for visitation on June 1, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at New Beginnings Community Church, located at 63022 Michigan 66 in Sturgis, Michigan. The funeral service will follow from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the same location. Interment will take place immediately afterward at South Colon Cemetery, 60471 South Burr Oak Road in Colon, Michigan.
Alice Louise Loudenslager will be remembered for her warmth, her love of life’s simple joys, and the strong ties she built with family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
